Circumcision

Phimosis / Circumcision: Every male child is born with foreskin attached to the underlying glans (head of penis) at birth, this is called phimosis but the foreskin begins to separate and roll back partially if not completely in over 70% boys by the age of 2 yrs. In boys with foreskin failing to withdraw, circumcision or breaking of adhesions (adhesiolysis) is given due clinical consideration if they are symptomatic with this condition or develop recurrent infections requiring antibiotics and sooner this is done better are the long term outcomes.
