Children Orchidopexy

Undescended Testis: (UDT): Paediatric (Children's) Orchidopexy (Testicular fixation): Incidence: 1-5% boys born full term, 30% boys born premature ! Children born with one sided or both sided UDT: (Testis trapped in the groin or the abdomen) must have their testicle brought down to the scrotum (ball bag) as soon as possible to ensure normal growth of the testis and accessibility for examination at any time. This surgical procedure ideally ought to be carried before the child reaches 2 yr age or even earlier if possible.
